CHRISTIAN
About God.
There is one true God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personal beings: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are One God.
Genesis 1: 1,26,27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 2nd Corinthians 13:14.
About Jesus Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ is Eternal God, the Son, Who became man through His virgin birth without ceasing to be God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. By living a sinless human life, He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death and ascended to Heaven's glory. He will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. Matt 1: 22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:15, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4: 14,15;
About the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ.. He lives in every Christian, baptizes, imparts gifts as needed and seals all believers from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. 2nd Cor 3:17; John 16:7-13, 16,17; Acts 1:8; 1st Cor 2: 12, 3:16; Eph 1:13; Gal 5:25.
About man.
Man was created good and upright, (Gen 1: 26-31). However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God, (Rom 5: 12-19). Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God ( Rom 5:9; 1 Pet 1:18,19; Rev 1:5). Salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance of sin, thereby being justified by God's grace, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. (Rom 10: 9,10; Eph 2: 8,9; Act 20:21 )
The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom 8:16). The outward evidence of salvation is a life of righteousness and true holiness. ( Gal 5:24; Titus 2: 11-14).
About the Bible.
The Bible is God's word to all men. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and life. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
All Christians are entitled to and should sincerely seek the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. ( Lk 24:49; Acts 2: 1-4, 14-18,, 38,39). The purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the endowment of power for service and ministry. (Act 1: 4-8). This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth. (Acts 8:12-17; 19: 1-6).
The Two Ordinances of the Church.
All who repent and believe on Christ should be baptized in water by immersion (Mt 28:19). Baptism does not bring about salvation, rather, it is declaring to the world that we have died with Christ and have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. The second ordinance of the Church is Holy Communion, (1 Cor 11: 23-34). The Lord's Supper, consistingof the bread and the fruit of the vine, is a symbol and memorial, of the suffering and death of Christ to be observed until He come again for His Church.
The Rapture of the Church.
Jesus is coming for His Church. (Jn 13: 1-3; 1 Th 4: 16-18). Those who have died in Christ and the Christians who are alive and remain will be caught up together to be with the Lord. The Rapture can take place at any time (Lk 12:40). This event will take place before the Seven Year Tribulation Period. ( 2 Th 2: 7,8).
The Final Judgment.
After Christ's Second Coming and His Millennial Reign, there will be a final judgment for the unbeliever. The wicked will appear before God and be sentenced to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. (Rev 21: 8,20:11-15). This judgment is not for Christians (Jn 3:36; 1 Th 1: 9,10), but for those who refused to repent of sin and make Jesus Savior and Lord of their life.
